Sacramento Picks it Up - Valley Oak Park Clean-Up

Please join us for a community cleanup event on Saturday, March 4. Breakfast will be available starting at 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Cleanup will begin at 10 a.m. We will meet at Valley Oak Park (2780 Mabry Drive, Sacramento) at 9:30 a.m. and will clean Red Bud Trail starting at 10 a.m. We will be providing safety vests, pick up sticks, gloves, trash bags, and sanitizers.
Feel free to invite your friends, family, and colleagues and let’s keep our walking trails clean. Please let me know by Feb. 28 if you can join and for how many people.

Elmhurst Trash Dash Part 2
Event Name: Elmhurst Trash Dash Part 2
Location: Nearest address for GPS is 1753 51st Street
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Difficulty Level: 1 – 2
Meet at the light rail tracks between along 51st Street between Folsom Blvd and T Street. This is a continuation of a previous clean-up effort from February with the goal of removing the remaining trash along the light rail tracks and fence line. The goal is to complete the clean-up in one-hour and after this event the area will enter into a regular maintenance mode.

Creek Week Clean-Up with Soil Born Farms
Event Name: Creek Week Clean-Up with Soil Born Farms
Location: 2197 Chase Drive (Hagan Community Park)
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Difficulty Level: 1 – 3Join CRPD and Soil Born Farms to help beautify our local Cordova Creek. Participants will meet at Cordova Creek and be provided gloves, garbage bags, buckets and all tools needed to clean-up our creek. Working together, we can all pitch in and make our community a cleaner and more eco-friendly space.

Sacramento Picks it Up - Friday Arcade Creek Clean-Up
Event Name: Friday morning Arcade Creek clean-up
Location: Arcade Creek Park (5613 Omni Drive)
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Difficulty Level: 2 – 5We will get into Arcade Creek and haul out a number of items including heavy items, so bring boots/waders and gloves. There are also areas around the creek that need attention, so if you don’t want to get wet, that’s ok. The difficulty level of this clean up is a 2-5, depending on the terrain you choose to work in.

Community Clean-up: Oroville Arbor Day Festival
Hosted by: Oroville Botanic Garden & Education Center
Location: YMCA Of Oroville California
The Oroville Botanic Garden & Education Center’s 4th annual Arbor Day Festival will be held at the Oroville Convention Center in Downtown Oroville on March 18th, 2023 from 10am-4pm. The event will be held indoors and outdoors, with craft vendors, non-profit & informational booths, food vendors, The Tree Circus, and a reading of The Lorax. We will have the Lineman’s College, the Legion Riders, as well as the Rainforest Art Project and OBGEC as some of our volunteers for the event.
