This Cleanup will be funded in part by a City of Sacramento Community Action Grant awarded by the Stormwater Quality Improvement Program. We would like to sincerely thank the City of Sacramento.
RCWA will once again partner with Robla Park Community Association (RPCA) to remove trash and debris from Robla Creek, a small waterway that flows into Steelhead Creek.
Please park along the street at the intersection of Claire Ave. & Sully St. and arrive early to sign in and enjoy donuts provided by the RPCA.
We will provide bags, but please bring along your sturdy WATERPROOF footwear, grabbers, buckets, cultivators, shovels and gloves – a limited number of loaner buckets and grabbers may be available. We will concentrate both on dry land and the water channel to remove debris. There will be water in the creek, possibly fairly deep in a few spots. Participants will be required to wear rain boots or waders if they intend to get into the water. Entry into any waters is always optional.
As with all events shared on our Page, participation is performed solely at your own risk. Please place safety FIRST and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Moreover, participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver form if they have not done so previously.
Overall, be safe, have fun and get some “Exercise with a Purpose”!, as Bill Templin says. Thank you!
