RCWA - Natomas Canal Cleanup & Shopping Cart Rodeo

Please join RCWA and Sacramento City Mayor Pro Tem Karina Talamantes for this exciting collaborative Community Cleanup along the Natomas East Drainage Canal behind the Natomas Marketplace.AGE LIMIT: This event is not suitable for minors under 16 years old. Minors older than 16 are invited, but must be supervised by a responsible adult.LOCATION: We will meet in the parking lot behind the Home Depot located at 3611 Truxel Road, Sacramento, CA. Please arrive early and enjoy coffee and donuts compliments of MPT Talamantes’ Office!EVENT: This will be an easy to difficult level cleanup with lots of trash, including over 100 shopping carts that are in and around the canal. Also, Reclamation District 1000 has agreed to haul all of our piles away!EQUIPMENT: The hosts will provide bags, but please bring along your sturdy, water-resistant footwear, grabbers, buckets and gloves – a limited number of loaner buckets, grabbers and gloves will be available.As with all events shared on RCWA, participation is performed solely at your own risk. Please place safety FIRST and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Moreover, participants may be required to sign a Release and Waiver form if they have not done so previously.Overall, be safe and have fun!Thank you!
