We will meet at the corner of Broadway and Riverside by the Target sign. I will bring a few extra grabbers, but please bring your own if you have one. Please bring gardening gloves and wear good walking shoes. Hope to see you out there!

Sacramento Picks it Up - Arcade Creek

    09:00 -12:00
    2023.02.24

Location: Arcade Creek Park at the Omni Drive entrance (5613 Omni Drive)

    Time: 9:30 a.m.

    Difficulty Level: 2 – 5

Event Name: Friday morning Arcade Creek clean-up

This Friday the meeting place for the bi-weekly Arcade Creek clean-up is the Arcade Creek Park on Omni Drive, because we have been working in this part of the creek lately. We get into Arcade Creek and sometimes haul out heavy items, so bring boots/waders and gloves. There are also areas around the creek that need attention, so if you don’t want to get wet, that’s ok. The difficulty level of this clean up is a 2-5, depending on the terrain people choose to work in.

Sacramento Picks it Up - American River Clean-Up with Wayne

    15:00 -17:00
    2023.02.25

    Saturday, February 25, 2023
    Location: 2111 Northrop Ave
    Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    Difficulty Level: 3 – 5
Event Name: American River Clean-Up with Wayne

This cleanup will be co-hosted by Wayne Watts, a long time American River Parkway hero. In fact, Wayne recently received a Certificate of Recognition from Assemblymember Kevin McCarty’s office for his amazing 37 years of dedicated stewardship to the parkway. He has invited us all to his cleanup.
Wayne needs help cleaning some of the trashiest areas of his adopted section. Much of the area was recently flooded and now there are many abandoned camps littering the area.
This is a moderate level cleanup with plenty of easy areas nearby.
