    10/09/2022

Day 2 of a 6-day cleanup–the BIGGEST of the Year! State and local agencies combine forces with SPIU for the first time to remove trash from the floodplain before the water rises. We’ll pile debris ahead of power equipment cleanup to occur Oct. 10-14.

This will be hard work (category 3-4) and will be in the vicinity of occupied (notified) camps, but occupants are cooperative. Site is dry except right along the creek; rubber boots not necessary.

Please bring your own water and tools (none provided). Ages 18 and over only. Closest address is 3 El Camino Avenue. Enter through the gate on El Camino and proceed to the floodplain below the levee road. Signs will be posted on El Camino to signal the pull-in spot. Please arrive on time because we will have to lock the gate behind us.

Location: Steelhead Creek at El Camino Avenue. Closest address is 3 El Camino Ave.
