Toxic materials must be disposed of at one of the Household Hazardous Waste Facilities. HHW accepted the following materials:
Please note that accepted materials may change depending on the jurisdiction. Check with your local agencies for updates.
||Car batteries (lead acid/car, 6 volt or more, max of 2)
|Electronic waste (computer monitors and televisions
|Gasoline and other flammables
||Most products labeled DANGER, CAUTION, WARNING, FLAMMABLE or POISON
||Paints: oil-based or latex
|Used Motor Oil
||Used Oil Filters
Where can I drop off my hazardous material?
Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station
Located at 8491 Fruitridge Rd
Hours of Operation:
Tuesday thru Thursday
8:00am – 5:00pm
Residents may only bring in ABOP items (Antifreeze, Batteries, Used Motor Oil and Filters, and Latex Paint).
Friday and Saturday
8:00am - 5:00pm
Residents can bring ABOP and all other household hazardous waste materials.
